Kulen’s Seka

Description

Kulen acquired its name “Slavonian domestic kulen” in our country through its original form, which was adapted from the base of a foreign word that was used for several variants of the basic term. The original name “kulen” for a certain type of sausage has been preserved in Slavonia to this day. Kulen, a meat product, sausage, has no other name, and the term “Slavonian domestic kulen” or just “kulen” in Croatian always means the same; it is an original domestic product, a sausage made from pork meat, in a pig’s appendix with certain additions of salt and spices – paprika and garlic. It is an indigenous Croatian product that in the Ikavian regions of Slavonia is called “kulin”.
