10th International Prosciutto Fair Tinjan – Gold Medal for OPG Vlado Ferbežar

The International Prosciutto Fair is one of the most important and prestigious gastronomic events in Istria, with prosciutto—known among Istrians as “vijulin”—at the center of attention. Exhibitors from Croatia, Italy, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Spain, and Austria take part in this gastronomic event, which attracts more than 20,000 visitors who enjoy excellent entertainment, top-quality delicacies, and a great atmosphere.

The prosciutto from Baba Delicije prosciutteria in Pakovo Selo near Drniš measured 103.5 centimeters in length and 11 centimeters in thickness at the “rose.” This is the first prosciutto ever submitted to the Guinness World Records. It was cut on a special stand created for the occasion by S.B. Design Matulji and weighed 30.7 kilograms, making it a potential Guinness World Record contender. It is worth mentioning that the pig from which this prosciutto was made weighed 430 kilograms and was raised at the Vlado Ferbežar family farm.
